A complete hardware and software re-design of the popular VA-FA5 model, which according to the designer, Michael Knitter DG5MK, is 'keeping FA-VA5 good things and introducing exciting new things!'
The FA-VA6 is a portable, full-featured Vector Measuring Device with a frequency range of 10 kHz to 1 GHz, aimed at both Amateur and Professional Users.
Operation of the Analyzer is completely intuitive, with a first-class user interface, professional key board and a bright high-quality display. Beginners can carry out standard measurements immediately after installation, as the VA6 is is factory calibrated. Professional users have a wide range of adjustment and calibration options.
The application of the VA6 offers much more than simply tuning Antennas. For example, the length and various parameters of cables can be measured, electronic components tested for their suitability at target frequencies and the proper functioning of antenna feed lines, cables and adaptors can be verified. Dr. Thomas Baier's DG8SAQ VNWA software application remains compatible with the VA6, allowing for the documentation of measurement results but also the ability to carry out advanced measurements and analysis.
Incorporated into the new design is a high-energy Lithium - Ion Battery, which provides a long run-time (up to 12 hours), and allows for easy recharging via USB-C Cable. NB: FA-VA6 Kits are shipped with Lithium Ion battery to UK addresses only. To comply with current shipping rules FA-VA6 Kits shipped outside UK are sold without battery.
The FA-VA6 is sold as a 99% complete kit, with a fully assembled and tested PCB, containing the SMD-assembled board, including the graphic display and the 4x4 silicone keyboard as well as a machined and printed case made of anodized aluminium. All that is required to complete the construction is to solder the battery holder and some screws - which should take less than 30 minutes. The German or English Language manual provided contains easy to follow assembly instructions.
