A 73mm diameter round metal dish to use as Ground Plane with GPS style Antennas for L-band reception

Note on making LNB L-Band Gain block:

1. Standard diameter of TV Satellite LNB  holder is 40mm      -   Some smaller dishes < 50cm ie Sky Dishes in UK - use 37mm diameter LNBs
2. Disc can be glued to a 40mm dia plastic waste pipe with General Purpose Silicon Sealant for mounting in TV Satellite Dish as L-band Low Noise Block LNB offering 10dB plus directional gain depending on size of Satellite Dish.
   
3. Cut a 10cm length of either 40mm or 36mm diameter plastic  waste pipe - ideally using a mitre box  and smooth edges
   
4. Coat one edge of the pipe with a braid of General Purpose Silicon Sealant
5. Place in middle of dish and press down
6. Gently turn the assembly round 360 whist squeezing a 2nd circle of  Silicon Sealant around the outside edge
7. Leave to dry for 24 hours
8. The 40mm pipe should fit tightly inside the LNB holder.   A 36mm pipe will fit in the 37mm LNB holder, otherwise use a foam tape to fill any space.
9. Alignment of dish is not critical - adjust dish position for best reception.  The maximum on L-band is about 3-5 degrees wide depending on size of TV dish
